E.g. Andrew's new play is previewing at the theatre tomorrow.

precedent 先例、判例 (n.)
➡️ 走 (cede) 在前 (pre) 面。
E.g. Is there a precedent for what you want to do?

premature 倉促的、早產的、早熟的 (a.)
➡️ 提前 (pre) 成熟 (mature)。
E.g. Henry was a bit too premature in giving up this job.

➡️ 位置比前面的 (pre) 高。
E.g. Debra works in a predominantly male environment.
Debra在一個男性居多的環境裡工作。

E.g. Ever since Fiona was a child, she has had a predilection for horror movies.
